Over the season, the Bulls recorded a number of notable winning streaks, including one of 18 games.
The Bulls ended the regular season with a 103-93 road victory over the Washington Bullets to finish with a record of 72 wins and 10 losses. Only the 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors have recorded a better regular season, with a record of 73 wins and nine losses. However, the Warriors fell in seven games of the 2016 NBA Finals, while the Bulls went on to enjoy one of the most dominant runs in league history.
The Bulls opened the postseason by winning 11 of 12 games against Eastern Conference opponents, including sweeps of the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic. After taking the first three games of the finals over the Seattle SuperSonics, the Bulls dropped consecutive games for the first time in more than four months. However, the Bulls went on to secure their fourth title in six seasons with a 10-point victory in Game 6, finishing the year with a combined record of 87 and 13.
