Chicago Bears Focused on Offensive Rebuilding in Offseason

Since 2013, Michael Schamis has served as a sales associate at Mister Wright Fine Wines & Spirits, located in New York City. In his leisure time, Michael Schamis likes to watch professional football, and he avidly supports the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears have plans to keep quarterback Jay Cutler moving into 2015, his 10th season in the league. As his contract stands, he will receive a guaranteed $15.5 million along with further incentives if he elects to stay with the team through 2016. Last year, he threw for 3,812 yards, 28 touchdowns, and a passer rating of 88.6.

Chicago hired Dowelll Loggains as a quarterbacks coach and Adam Gase as an offensive coordinator during the offseason, and they have reportedly started the designs of a new playbook tailored to Cutler’s strengths and style of play. Additionally, the Bears have re-signed backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen on a one-year extension to help bolster the organization’s future success.
